Americans care about the humane treatment of animals and want to see common-sense policies enacted to protect these creatures from cruelty and abuse. The Humane Society’s annual scorecards provide a snapshot of Congress in terms of animal protection issues that they called to Members’ attention – cosponsorship of certain key bills, floor votes, and co-signature of a funding letter on enforcement of animal welfare laws.
