(Washington, DC) – Congressman C.A. Dutch Ruppersberger (D-MD) is honored to receive the endorsement from the Baltimore County Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #4. Since Congressman Ruppersberger’s days as Baltimore County Executive, he has been a strong supporter of law enforcement. He believes we must give our police officers, firefighters, and emergency medical professionals the resources they need to keep us safe.

“Local law enforcement is the first line of defense. They work around the clock to keep our families and our communities safe by battling crime and responding to emergencies. In Congress, I fight for more resources for initiatives that get illegal guns off our streets and keep our kids out of gangs,” said Congressman C.A. Dutch Ruppersberger.

The Fraternal Order of Police voted unanimously to endorse Congressman Ruppersberger, according to Lodge President Cole Weston.

“Your continued support of law enforcement officers at the local, state and federal level is very much appreciated by this organization,” Lodge President Cole Weston wrote in a letter to Congressman Ruppersberger. “You have cosponsored the National Fraternal Order of Police legislative priorities and we are equally influenced with your initiatives supporting the members of the Armed Services. You have demonstrated continued support of the issues relevant to public safety as well as the families of our fallen officers.”

Congressman Ruppersberger is seeking his fifth term in office representing Maryland’s 2nd District which includes neighborhoods in Baltimore County, Anne Arundel County, Harford County, and Baltimore City. Congressman Ruppersberger serves on the Intelligence Committee and the Appropriations Committee.
