Ruppersberger Pledges to Continue to Work in Washington to Create Jobs and Improve the Maryland Economy
(Annapolis, Maryland) – Congressman C.A. Dutch Ruppersberger (D-MD) will file for re-election on Monday, June 28, 2010, at the Maryland State Board of Elections in Annapolis. The Congressman pledges to continue to work to create jobs and improve the Maryland economy while also fighting for better benefits for seniors and veterans, protecting the environment, improving education, funding critical infrastructure improvements, and keeping our country safe. Congressman Ruppersberger is seeking his fifth term in Congress representing Maryland’s 2nd District. The Congressman serves on the Appropriations and Intelligence Committees.
“When you have a job, you can support your family and your community. America is starting to come out of the worst recession in half a century. In Congress, we must continue to pass legislation that gives business incentives to create jobs, hire Americans, and buy equipment. I am also focused on keeping our country safe, preserving the Chesapeake Bay, strengthening our education system, ensuring seniors have access to affordable prescription drugs, taking care of our active military personnel and veterans, and funding road and transit improvements,” said Congressman C.A. Dutch Ruppersberger (D-MD).
