Ruppersberger to Meet New Constituents in Kick-Off Howard County Canvass
(Timonium, MD)– Congressman C.A. Dutch Ruppersberger and his green army of “Go Dutch” volunteers will kick-off the 2012 reelection campaign in a canvass of Howard County’s Laurel community Saturday morning. Residents recently redistricted into Maryland’s Second Congressional District as a result of the 2010 Census will get an opportunity meet their new congressman at their own doorstep.
“Campaigns are a perfect opportunity to communicate directly with constituents about my record and their priorities – especially my new constituents in Howard County,” Congressman Ruppersberger said. “Howard County is known for its great schools, safe streets and world-class workforce. I’m looking forward to helping its residents maintain the quality of life they have always enjoyed.”
Congressman Ruppersberger is seeking his sixth term representing Maryland’s Second District, which includes communities in Baltimore City as well as Baltimore, Anne Arundel, Harford and Howard Counties.
