Women’s access to health care should not be a political bargaining chip.

Republicans in Congress (most of whom are men) should not try to control women’s reproductive decisions. Women have a constitutional right to privacy.

But, unfortunately, Republicans refuse to let this go. Their health care plan defunds Planned Parenthood. It could force clinics to close and render important services like cancer screenings, check-ups, contraceptives, and STI testing unaffordable for millions of women.

The ongoing Republican crusade against women’s health is not over no matter how much we wish it would be. That means we have to hold the line.
